CI/CD and GitHub Actions
Continuous integration combines changes frequently with automated checks. Continuous delivery keeps a releasable version ready; continuous deployment automatically releases eligible changes. GitHub Actions workflows contain event-triggered jobs and steps.
A concrete example
Run tests and a build on pull requests. Repository rules are needed to block merges on failed checks. Do not give release secrets to untrusted pull request code.
pull_request → install → test → buildExplain it yourself
Why does a workflow file alone not prevent broken code from merging?
How to study this
Write your reasoning first. Check the original documentation, identify an assumption, then try a different example. Reading this page does not count as verified skill evidence.
